Not every cut can be made with a ride-along floor saw or a track-mounted wall saw. Corners, stairs, tight bathrooms, narrow walkways, block walls and small openings all call for a handheld saw: a powerful diamond-blade cut-off saw controlled by an experienced operator.
Cutaway uses handheld saws to finish cuts into corners, cut small openings and recesses, trim steps and kerbs, and make cuts where access, height or the shape of the job rules out larger machines. On many jobs the hand saw works alongside our floor and wall saws to finish what they can't reach.
We run petrol saws outdoors and electric or hydraulic saws indoors, where exhaust fumes aren't acceptable. Every cut is made wet to keep dust and silica under control.
Tight access and detail work
Bathrooms, laundries, stairwells and shopfronts rarely leave room for a big saw. Handheld sawing lets us cut right into corners, along walls and around existing fixtures, with a clean edge and minimal overcut.
It's also the right tool for small openings in block and concrete walls, such as vents, service hatches and pipe chases, and for trimming steps, landings and kerbs.

Ring saws and chainsaws for deeper cuts
Where a standard cut-off saw won't go deep enough, ring saws and concrete chainsaws allow deeper cuts from one side, with square corners and no overcut. They're ideal for door and window openings in walls where a wall saw can't be mounted.
We'll recommend the right saw for the cut, the material and the finish you need.
